Jeannine is the best and this class and is what I've been missing in my life the last 6 years. After a trial month deal, I was so in. I'm now three months into my membership and look forward to going every time. I love the ability to shift between the strength class and dynamic class and the number of times I come per week depending on how I'm feeling and the flexibility of my work and kiddo schedule. I was initially hesitant to try it out because I've had a lot of injuries and surgeries from my "college athlete" days and after 20+ years of trying different sports, exercise classes, gyms, studios, routines, workout groups etc. to scratch my exercise/teamwork/good exhaustion/endorphiny/feeling strong itch, I've learned to be healthily skeptical because I would always hurt myself or something wouldn't quite work... BUT I am hesitant and skeptical no more - I'm so sold. Jeannine has modifications for everything to help you find a way to get what you need while being smart and safe, and the amazing thing about this program is the way you still get that feeling of camaraderie that I loved about team sports, but you are focused on your body and the movements... so you can listen to your body in a way that you just can't when you're playing a sport and focused on the game. This is the first time I've found something where I can have SO MUCH FUN, be SO exhausted, and not to hurt myself. I've also gotten so much stronger in ways I really thought were inaccessible to me after all my injuries and surgeries, and I really appreciate the variety of folks I've gotten to meet. Everyone is great and friendly and it's been such a positive addition to my physical and mental health to have a great group of people to work hard with, build strength, and have fun. Also - the moves/exercises are fun and creative and the deck of moves is deep so it's never boring. When I first started and would be introduced to a new move, I would sometimes think - is this really working out?... and then 30 seconds in I'm like - ohhhh....yep... it's working out... (as my quads burn or my calves are feeling tired or my arms are way fatigued). Another thing that I appreciated as I got started was not being hard sold to. You really can figure out what works for you without feeling intense pressure to join. That meant a lot to me. Doing a few drop ins or trying for a month trial was great and there is flexibility to find the right level of commitment. You are missing out if you haven't been by to check it out!
