Irish Step Dance for Beginners

This course will give you a taste of Irish step dancing, as well as the basic steps and rhythms involved. Suitable for beginners aged 13 and up. If you do not have dance shoes, you can wear a pair of CLEAN leather-soled dress shoes to this class (or socks or clean sneakers in a pinch). Be prepared--this is a heart-pumping workout! Steel Pan Ensemble for Beginners

Uke Jam

This informal “jam session” style of ensemble is for adult intermediate and advanced ukulele players. Members of this ensemble share with each other new tunes and techniques, and encourage each other to become comfortable with performance practices. Enrollment is open to adult students who have already taken Ukulele Ensemble for Beginners through level II, or upon passing an audition. Sign up for the whole session for $5 per week, or drop in for $8 (cash-exact change only for drop-ins).

Tap Dance for Adult Beginners

Here's your chance to learn or refresh your memory on the fundamentals of tap, and to work on your rhythm! Classes will consist of warm-ups, combos, and a fun filled dance. Expect some shuffles, flaps, and other fun tap steps. Amy is a blue-grass clogger and will be sharing some basic clogging steps if it fits the class dynamic. Wear comfortable attire and dust off those tap shoes.This class is suitable for adults with a limited amount of experience with tap dancing (for example, if you took some tap as a kid, or have taken one or two of our beginner courses, this course will be perfect for you).
