Join our new 6-week Pregnancy Yoga course starting Monday, 13th
January.
These gentle yoga sessions combine movement and relaxation,
supporting you and your body throughout your pregnancy journey, all
the way to birth.
Our classes are suitable for every stage of pregnancy, and
you’ll be joining a warm, supportive community of expectant
mothers.

Jo has been teaching yoga for over 15 years, specializing
in supporting mums-to-be across Sheffield. She offers gentle,
inclusive sessions that create a calm, welcoming space for

cocoon, allowing you to relax deeply and restore your body and mind

6-Week Pranayama & Meditation Course

Join us in our 6-week pranayama and meditation course!
Each 60-minute session will guide you through different
breathwork and dynamic meditation techniques. This is great for
both for experienced yoga practitioners wanting to deepen their
practice and equally suited to beginners as the techniques are
suitable for all bodies.
Pranayama translates to “Breath Control” and helps us to
strengthen our mind-body connection. Each technique has different,
more specific benefits as listed below.
16th Feb - Full Yogic Breath & Alternate Nostril
Breathing
Master the foundational full yogic breath that can be added to
any breathwork technique/asana to deepen/advance practice.
Alternate nostril breathing is a calming, relaxing and balancing
technique.
23rd Feb - Breath Retention & Dharana
Meditation
Explore holding the breath after inhalations and exhalations
followed by meditation techniques to improve focus and
concentration.
2nd March - Chakra & Mantra
Meditation
Exploring each chakra (energy centre) using visualisation,
mudras (hand gestures) and mantras (sounds); We will rebalance all
of the energy centres for a total body reset and
rejuvenation.
9th March - Kapalbhati Pranayama & Aum
Meditation
Using breath of fire, this is a heat building, energising
practice which also translates to “skull-shining breath” as it
powerfully clarifies the mind. Followed by a meditation around the
mantra “aum” to help us connect deeper to Attman(self) &
Brahman(source).
16th March - Roots Meditation & Active Emotional
Release (including Lions Breath)
Heart meditation to bring healing to our root connections
followed by a hatha yoga shaking technique and lions breath to
release trapped emotions brought up from the meditation.
23rd March - Bastrika & Elements
Meditation
A notch up from Kapalbhati - pumping on both the inhale and
exhale making it double the power! Very cleansing and energising.
Followed by a mediation connecting us to the earth and sky through
active techniques using mudras, visualisation and
affirmations.
