50-Hour Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra Teacher Training

This training will be a deep exploration into the art and science both practices, empowering you to guide others into profound relaxation, healing, and self-awareness. Through a blend of practical experience, anatomical study, and mindfulness techniques, you'll learn how to lead profound Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra sessions that support physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Restorative Yoga Foundations
Learn to create deeply nurturing and supportive restorative sequences that encourage relaxation, ease, and recovery. You will explore the origins and evolution of Restorative Yoga, and master the art of using props to support and sustain long-held postures to release tension and stress, and how to modify them for different bodies and conditions. You will learn how to cultivate a teaching style that emphasizes mindfulness, helping others develop a profound connection to their inner stillness.
Yoga Nidra
Delve into the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra (“yogic sleep”), which induces deep relaxation and promotes healing through guided meditation and visualization. Learn how to guide your students through a full Yoga Nidra practice, explore the specific stages of conscious relaxation and the science behind them. You will explore how Yoga Nidra affects the nervous system, and influences brain function and stress responses, promotes trauma-healing and self-inquiry. Learn how to effectively teach this practice, the essential aspects of script writing, and creating a nurturing atmosphere.
Anatomy and Physiology for Meditative Practices
Understand the physiological mechanisms that support the restorative process, including nervous system regulation, the importance of breath, and the role of the parasympathetic nervous system in relaxation and recovery
Trauma-Informed Teaching
Gain tools to approach teaching with sensitivity, creating safe and inclusive spaces for students with various needs, backgrounds, and challenges. Learn how to modify practices for students with physical injuries, trauma histories, or specific health concerns.
Practical Teaching Experience
Throughout the training, you'll have the opportunity to practice teaching restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra, refining your skills in crafting clear, effective instructions, maintaining a soothing voice, and guiding students into states of deep relaxation.
