The Leg Extension Unit utilizes functional, full-body movement sequences in various planes to strengthen upper/lower body and hand/foot coordination and increase joint functional strength and stability. Though called the Leg Extension Unit, this piece of equipment utilizes the entire upper body, arms, and abdominals.

During the apprenticeship period, students must complete 60 “teaching client” hours and a minimum of 30 supervised apprenticeship course hours. Apprentices complete their supervised apprenticeship review course hours under the guidance and supervision of a Gyrotonic Master Trainer either in the form of a six-day Gyrotonic Apprenticeship Course or by re-taking the Gyrotonic Foundation Course.

This 6-day course is required to enter the Gyrotonic Final Certificate Course. This course is over two 3-day weekends.

The GYROTONIC® Method Level 1 Final Certification course is the final step in becoming a certified GYROTONIC® Trainer. To take this course, the following pre-requisites must be met:

• Successful completion of Level 1 Pre-training course, Foundations course, and Apprentice Review.

• The Master Trainer overseeing your Supervised Apprentice Review Course must sign and date your Apprentice Log Sheet, including the last page giving “final approval” to take the Final Certificate Course.

• Your Apprentice Log Sheet must show 60 completed teaching hours minimum.

• You must present your Apprentice Log Sheet at registration on the first day of the Final Certificate Course. DO NOT mail the Apprentice Log Sheet!

Register online and pay a $325 non-refundable, non-transferable studio fee to reserve your place. This guarantees your spot in the certification.
