Qigong’s simple movements and postures unite body, mind and breath to provide a wonderful form of gentle exercise. An extremely effective method of reducing stress, Qigong can at the same time enhance your energy and impart a strong sense of calm and wellbeing.

Kristi's teaching is largely influenced by the Forrest Yoga method, a practice based on the pillars of Breath, Strength, Integrity and Spirit. Within this practice you can expect Pranayama (breathing exercises), Core Work, Neck Releases, and conditioning poses, within a mix of flow and longer holds. Modifications will be offered for injuries and pre and post-natal women with an established Yoga practice are also welcome.
Not suitable for beginners.
Please be aware that as Judy is also a teacher of Alexander Technique, Moving Mindfully classes normally include a short carefully facilitated section of gentle hands-on partner work – just a quiet hand on the back, enhancing the sense of presence in the back. Students often find this a most beneficial aspect of the classes, effortlessly encouraging greater poise and spaciousness in movement.

All Levels/Mixed Ability Pilates with Hannah Ford Tuesdays 11:30 - 12:30 pm 5 Nov - 17 Dec (7 classes)
Pilates is a body conditioning programme which helps build strength, flexibility, control and endurance – emphasising alignment, breath and development of a strong core.

After obtaining a degree in Psychology, Hannah trained as an Occupational Therapist and worked in the NHS for many years providing physical rehabilitation for adults with complex neurological, orthopaedic, cardiac and other conditions.
Following the birth of her children, Hannah trained as an instructor with Body Control Pilates and has completed her Level 3 Matwork qualification. A regular runner, she is passionate about the benefits of Pilates – whether for rehabilitation, prevention of injury or maintenance of physical fitness.
