This is a holistic, dance-based support group for new parents
that uses silent disco headphones to create an immersive
experience. With no choreography to learn and no pressure to move,
it serves as a sanctuary of body positivity, inclusivity, and
empowerment. This unique class fosters an environment that
encourages you to reconnect with yourself, discover joy in
movement, and engage with a supportive community.
At the beginning of each session, parents are invited to take the
time to feed or change their babies before settling them in a
sling, carrier, or pushchair for the dance portion of the session.
Our facilitator will gently guide you through what to expect,
leading a warm-up to help you ease into movement. As the session
progresses, you have the freedom to express yourself in whatever
way feels most nourishing—whether that involves dancing, singing,
or simply relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere. With two distinct
streams of music available, you can explore different rhythms and
find the one that resonates with you.
As we near the end of the session, the music will gradually soften
as we transition into a gentle cool-down. Once the music concludes
(around 11 a.m.), we will take some time to reflect and share our
experiences in a supportive and open discussion.
This course is a collaboration with Respair Therapy C.I.C.

Open Floor Conscious Dance with Mira Schauble Sunday 5:30 - 7:30pm 8 Dec
Conscious dance is about connecting your body with who you are. It combines freestyle movement with a wonderful soundscape of music. It is about finding joy in the present moment – and it can lead to a release of stress and tension and an amazing sense of freedom.
No dance experience is required – everyone and everybody is welcome for this fun session where self-expression and self-discovery are very much encouraged.
Mira Schauble is an exceptionally gifted and qualified instructor: a registered Dance Movement psychotherapist, a UKCP-registered Integrative Psychotherapist and with teaching qualifications in Open Floor Dance and Yoga, Mira brings over 35 years’ dance experience to these sessions.
