Wintering: A Women's Circle for Letting Go
Dec 8, 2024 - Dec 8, 2024

A women’s circle is a gathering where you can share, listen and support others in an open hearted space. Please join Elizabeth in whatever season you are in life to allow for the bringing forth of something that has brought discomfort and is ready to be released. When we observe the seasonal cycles we honor ourselves and what our bodies need. As the transition from fall to winter, the leaves reveal to us the beauty of change and letting go. When we let go of that which no longer serves us, just at the tree sheds its leaves, it gives us permission to rest and, in time, find new life. When we are met with compassion and support, it allows the body to release. With release, there is an invitation to slow down and come back to ourselves for a more peaceful, restful winter. Our journey will begin with a guided meditation followed by a journaling exercise of release, discovery and support and ending with a long, nourishing Savasana.

This event is guided by Elizabeth Schultz, a member of our community, who is a Certified Big Leap Coach and holds a certificate in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. She supports women in finding their way to freedom by getting in touch with how they can honor and trust their voice. She is a writer, mother, and freedom seeker.

Spots limited to 8 women to honor sacred, supportive healing

The 8-Limbed Path of Yoga
Dec 15, 2024 - Dec 15, 2024
The practice of Yoga is deeper than simply asana (physical practice). Asana, is only one of the 8-Limbs. that is described in the Yoga Sutras, written around 500 B.C. by Patanjali, but originally spoken - passed on from Master to student. The Sutras, or thought threads, are short statements that encourage contemplation. The 8-Limbed path supports us in strengthening connection in mind, body, and spirit.

The 8 Limbs are:

1. Yama - ethical restraints
2. Niyama - observances (or positive duties)
3. Asana - physical practice
4. Pranayama - breathing practices
5. Pratyahara - Withdrawing attention from outside to within
6. Dharana - practice single-minded focus on an object, place, or idea
7. Dhyana - Meditation
8. Samadhi - Mind is still and non-reactive

In this workshop, students learn how the practices apply to their own lives. The teachings will be applied through physical practice, readings, and meditation focus - to help achieve greater flow and abundance in life.
