This workshop will give you knowledge about your pelvic floor anatomy, lead you through embodying it through common asana postures, and connect on a deeper level to your root.
Through teaching, embodiment practices, and grounding meditation, you will leave this workshop with a deeper connection to your root and increased awareness of this center of vitality in your body. You will gain practice in incorporating your pelvic floor into your regular asana practice and daily movements. No matter what season of life you are in, it’s never too late to learn about and connect with this vital life center. The gifts of your attention to your pelvic bowl will serve you on through all the seasons to come.
Dr. Mandi Murtaugh is a pelvic floor physical therapist and yoga teacher here in Tacoma. Her work focuses on embodiment and healing through combining trauma-informed care and education, incorporating yoga postures and mindfulness into her 1:1 care. She specializes in caring for folks through the threshold seasons of pregnancy, postpartum, and the peri/menopause. You can learn more about her here.

Offered monthly, Source Yoga’s Partner Prenatal classes give birthing couples the opportunity to practice yoga together in community with others. Each class includes carefully selected poses, mindfulness techniques, and simple breathing exercises designed to meet both partners' needs. An excellent addition to weekly prenatal classes, practicing together with a birthing partner allows participants to gain mutual strength and ease, deepening this shared experience.
The pregnant partner can register for the class and bring along their partner or birth support person. This class is in-studio and space is limited.

“Meditation helps us defuse stress, experience greater tranquility, find a sense of wholeness, strengthen our relationships, and face our fears. Meditation helps sharpen focus, lower blood pressure, and reduce chronic pain. Meditation helps protect the brain against aging and improves our capacity for learning new things. And it's as easy as sitting down and taking a breath.”
- Real Happiness, by Sharon Salzberg
In this 4 week online series, Erin will guide you through developing a meditation practice and learning how to navigate the challenges that arise when we begin. We will explore the benefits of meditation, developing concentration and learning to steady the mind, deepening awareness of your body, thoughts, and emotions, cultivating compassion, and how to keep the practice going.
Included will be recorded meditations so you can practice at home.
Beginners are especially welcome, as are those wishing to deepen their practice.
