
This course is available to women and their babies who have had their 6 week postnatal checkup and are given the go -ahead to begin gentle exercise. You can, of course, come along without your baby if you have someone to look after them.
Pilates is great for strengthening your core and helping to regain your pre-pregnancy abdominal strength. Most importantly, we will be focussing on strengthening the pelvic floor and lower abdominals. You will work up slowly and safely.
It is also good for your mental health and general well-being. An opportunity to leave the house with or without your baby and meet other women in the same situation.
Sometimes you will get little done, especially if babies need feeding, but you will still be able to gain knowledge of the moves and practice later at home. It is also a great opportunity to bond with your baby and make connections with other new mums. Often, the postnatal classes are a woman’s first insight into this practice.

A day of asana, pranayama, meditation, yoga nidra & joyous celebration of summer.
We will be discovering the triple energy of nature, as revealed by yogic philosophy - the gunas. These qualities of energy, shakti, are what creates the whole of existence, and we too, are made up of this dance of energy.
Through the day we will tune into the ways in which these qualities manifest, within our bodies, hearts and minds, within the rhythms of our life, and within the natural world around us. We will reflect on our precious world, and find insights into how energy can change and shift, and how our inner work can ripple out into changing the state of the world in which we live.
