Mahalakshmi is a singer, composer, music producer, and

her vocal style, creating a unique and soothing sound. While she is
largely self-taught with regard to vocals, piano, and songwriting,
Mahalakshmi has received guidance in Indian classical music from
Ustad Chhote Rahimat Khan, Geetika
Varde, and her husband and music partner,
Emam. She and Emam perform original world
fusion music in their ensemble 'MahaMaya Band',
which bridges Indian Classical with rock and jazz. The duo can also
be found leading Kirtan groups with their band 'Rhythm

Join visiting musicians and teachers Emam & Mahalakshmi for a deeper exploration of mantra. In this workshop, they will break down the Sanskrit, pronunciation, and melodies of traditional mantras, offering insight into their meaning and cultural roots.
This is less of a kirtan and more of a teaching space—an opportunity to learn how mantra works as a powerful part of a holistic practice. Together we will explore the importance of using the authentic voice as a tool for presence, devotion, and inner connection.
No singing experience necessary.
