These interconnections enable movement, thought, emotion, and regulation of physiologic and emotional responses to the varied stimuli that surround us. This series is divided into four, four-hour modules.
Module 4: Physiology of the mind-body connection
Many of us come to yoga because we feel the benefits of consistent practice – benefits that we frequently carry beyond the mat. This module explores the science behind these benefits. Rather than detracting from the emotional and spiritual well-being provided by yoga, the science endorses the profound interconnection between the body, heart, and mind. Trainees will leave with an appreciation for the complexity of the dance between mind and body as well as tools to strengthen awareness of this important connection.
