About the Program
A great first touch sets the stage for every play. This program is designed to help players receive the ball cleanly, stay composed under pressure, and set up their next move with confidence. Through repetition and game-like situations, players will refine their ability to control the ball in different ways and in different areas of the field.
Over the 3 weeks, players will focus on:

Receiving techniques with all surfaces of the body (feet, thighs, chest)
-
First touch into space to create time and advantage
-
Controlling difficult balls – bouncing, aerial, and fast passes
-
Turning and shielding to maintain possession
-
Game-speed decision making after the first touch
By the end of the program, players will be able to handle the ball with greater confidence, keeping possession and setting themselves up for effective passes, dribbles, or shots.

The focus is on learning simple, effective turning techniques and using them at an age-appropriate speed of play to escape pressure, change direction, and keep possession.
Each session combines lots of touches, guided technical repetition, and fun game-based activities to help players learn when and how to turn during game play.

About the Program
This advanced 3-week Player Development Program is designed to help players receive, turn, and manipulate the ball at speed of play in tight, game-realistic environments. The focus is not just on learning turning techniques, but on selecting and executing the correct turning option at match tempo to escape pressure, create space, and play forward.
Each session balances high-repetition technical work with game-like scenarios, challenging players to scan early, receive under pressure, and turn with intent so skills translate directly into match performance.
Over the 3 weeks, players will focus on:

Half-turn receiving to play forward immediately

Disguised turning techniques such as Cruyff turns and body feints
-
Inside and outside cut turns to eliminate defenders with minimal touches
-
Drag backs and V-turns to create space under pressure
-
Pull-push and sole roll turns to manipulate defenders in congested areas
-
Turning at speed of play and making quick decisions after the turn

By the end of the program, players will be more confident and composed receiving the ball under pressure, better able to turn at game speed, and more effective at breaking pressure, retaining possession, and playing forward in tight spaces.
