Step into our serene space for a mala making workshop where tranquility meets creativity. A mala is a string of beads, usually consisting of 108 beads, used for meditation and prayer in various spiritual traditions, including Hinduism and Buddhism. Before diving into crafting, we'll gently guide you through a grounding meditative yoga flow to center your mind and set intentions for your mala. Then, let your inner artist shine as you choose beads that resonate with your spirit. Feel the gentle flow of the process as you string each bead with intention and care. No prior experience needed – just bring yourself and an open heart. Join us for an afternoon of mindfulness and meaningful creation, leaving with not just a beautiful mala necklace, but a sense of inner peace and connection.
Yoga Props and Alignment Workshop
Dec 15, 2024 - Dec 15, 2024
Alignment is something we hear
spoken about all the time in the physical aspect of a yoga
practice. Often, alignment cues are very helpful for keeping you
safe and in shape, but sometimes its hard to know what is the best
option for you. Sometimes the best version of a shape for you will
look very different then for other people, and often the best way
for your body to reasonably find the most supportive shape is to
utilize a prop. But how do we know when to use what, and whether or
not we need it? Join Christina for a 90 minute workshop focused on
helping you to find your particular alignment and space of safety
as we make our way through a variety of Asuna. This workshop will
include some knowledge of your body and how it works, as well as
utilizing props to help you support your practice all around.
