The feet are the body’s foundation, and their health impacts the
entire system. They are
our connection to the earth and the way we move through the world.
In this workshop,
we’ll focus on the feet, exploring exercises to improve strength,
flexibility, and
circulation. Students will learn stretching and strengthening
techniques for the feet as
they relate to the legs, and hips, and discover how they work
together for better mobility.
Ayurvedic massage and restorative poses will also be used to
relieve the pressure of
standing and walking for long hours. Students will leave with
practical tools to maintain
healthy, happy feet both at home and in their practice.

Deep Rest is a workshop devoted to unwinding.
Through Vanessa’s signature mix of asana (poses), yoga nidra (yogic
sleep) and guided
visualization, participants have the opportunity to drop deep
within the mindbody and
explore their relationship to their own internal rhythms.
Where do we push too hard? What do the places within our bodies
that store the most
tension wish to communicate to us? Where do we wish to
release?
By strengthening the mindbody connection through breathing and
intentional
movement, we receive the guidance we need to help restore
balance.
Within the accessed dreamscape of visualization, allow yourself to
embark on a journey
into the subconscious realms, and leave Deep Rest feeling
rejuvenated and inspired by
the wisdom of your own mindbody.

For thousands of years, yoga has been a spiritual and wellness practice helping humans hone a deeper connection of mind, body and spirit. In similar longevity, cannabis has been used for medicinal, therapeutic and spiritual purposes to support people in expanding their mind and helping them balance their internal systems. Intentional, thoughtful combining of these two modalities may assist practitioners in opening additional pathways to promote healing and connection of the mind/body complex.
If you are curious about blending these two practices together to support your wellness journey, join Jenny in exploring conscious elevation with herbal medicine and dropping into your physical body with slow, intentional movement before landing in stillness. This workshop includes space for mindful cannabis consumption and time to connect with community and like-minded individuals. A brief presentation about the role of cannabis in wellness and why yoga and cannabis pair well together will be offered. A slow flow yoga practice that concludes with restorative postures and a guided meditation will round out your experience.
There will be allotted time after practice to pause and reflect, integrate, journal, and/or prepare for your transition back to life outside of this experience and the studio. Feel free to bring a journal or anything you wish to have during this integration time.
Please note that this is a BYO cannabis event. You are welcome to bring your favorite, legally-allowed amount of cannabis or cannabis product(s) for personal use to attend this workshop. There is NO cannabis for sale at this event. Jenny will share examples of products that she believes pair well with the yoga practice. Consumption is not required to join in on this practice, however, shared respect for the plant, yoga practice and your fellow curious movers is.
Jenny encourages you to reach out with any questions prior to the workshop by emailing her: jhc@jennyhchao.yoga
