Thursday's:
Led by Pelvic Floor Specialist Sama Farah-Mina, this class emphasizes intentional and mindful movement through targeted exercises designed to help you properly engage your pelvic floor. You'll learn techniques to strengthen and support your pelvic floor, and discover how to integrate these practices into your everyday life for improved well-being and functionality.
Tuesday's:
On Tuesdays, you'll have the opportunity to put your knowledge into practice in an exercise class, working alongside a trainer. Participants will progress through a variety of exercises, starting with foundational pelvic floor movements and advancing to more complex compound exercises similar to those found in advanced fitness classes.
This workshop will focus on the basic concepts of what the pelvic floor is, its function, how to identify dysfunction, and finally how to best integrate proper pelvic floor management in your strengthening programs.
We often worry about how exercise can negatively impact our pelvic floor, especially after pregnancy, surgery or generally if we already have signs of pelvic floor dysfunction. However, if we do our workouts properly, we can actually strengthen our pelvic floor and prevent further dysfunction. We’ll walk through a series of exercises to help guide your awareness of your pelvic floor so you can better incorporate proper pelvic floor function in your workouts.
