This class is for students age 8-12 who have already developed body awareness and core silks concepts. Students should be able to climb the silk, tie a single footlock, and have a basic understanding of core gymnastic and aerial shapes. This class meets once per week for 8 weeks, and practices for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Bring a water bottle, leggings, and form fitting shirt or leotard, and expect to work hard!
This Continuing Aerial III class is designed for adults who have been training in aerials for multiple sessions, and feel comfortable with locks, inversions, hip keys, catchers, and s-wrap entry. This class will work on developing comfort in stardrops, wheeldowns, and other c shaping skill, as well as broadening our hip key palette. This is a challenging class in which focus will on developing clean technique, building on transitions and sequences within aerial movement.
Beginning III Silks picks up where beginning II left off! This class will focus on building ease and endurance on the silks. This class will work on fine tuning our hip key, and our most basic double foot lock skills, and learning a few unique climbing variations. We will progress in skill and difficulty on a weekly basis. Be prepared to try hard with a great attitude. We recommend wearing leggings and a form fitting tank or leotard.
Lyra, or aerial hoop is a suspended steel hoop that you hang from the ceiling. Learn to swing, pose, and move in this beginning lyra class for ages 8-12.
Beginning aerial silks is a cohesive 8 week course designed for absolute beginners. We will progress in skill and difficulty on a weekly basis. Be prepared to try hard with a great attitude. We recommend wearing leggings and a form fitting tank or leotard. Please no shorts, as this can cause painful fabric burns on the legs.
