Nov 23, 2024 - Nov 24, 2024

Led by Kelley Annese ERYT-500, YACEP, Reiki Master

In this 12 hour training you will learn the process and application of Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is known as divine sleep or yogic sleep. It is a systematic process of leading a person into a deeply relaxed state in order to rest and restore on all levels of the self ( body, mind & spirit) A successful yoga nidra experience can be more restful than an entire nights sleep!

In this training you will gain the tools to confidently lead students and clients into their own experience of this specific form of guided relaxation from ancient yogic technology. You will learn a step by step process that can be used as a full yoga Nidra class, or as a template to get creative and make your own unique version. We will discuss how to add yoga Nidra into a class, or as a stand alone program. You will also learn when and how to incorporate singing bowls, gongs and other sound healing tools to enhance the relaxation experience with added vibrational healing.

Kelley Annese came to yoga & meditation in her 20's while living on the west coast. Traveling to various yoga ashrams, she had the opportunity to experience the yogic lifestyle in an intentional community setting. She fell in love with the classic style of Integral Hatha Yoga that is a blissful balance of asana, pranayama, relaxation & spirituality. She began her training in 2006 and over the past 15 years has studied with mentors such as: Joseph LePage, Yoganand Michael Carroll, Swami Asokananda, Doug Keller, Anna Forest, Guru Jagat, Kia Miller & Guru Singh. After years of practicing and teaching, Kelley brings an intuitive approach to her classes, offering whatever is needed for the bodies in the room. Her hatha yoga classes are a melding of somatic movement, sun salutations, restorative & yin postures, pilates, pranayama breathing practices and of course, a deeply nourishing relaxation. The practice of yoga is a sacred experience and it is her honor to share practices that have helped her heal anxiety, chronic pain & addiction in her own life.
