Pre Ballet/ Jazz introduces two very different styles of dance! Students will learn technique including proper posture, upper and lower body positions, and locomotor steps, while continuing to use props and playing fun games. They'll learn about rhythm and musicality in a fun way!

Female students can wear a white leotard and pink tights and male students can wear a white tshirt with black leggings, white t-shirt and ballet shoes. Hair must be pulled back.

To schedule a makeup class, please email dovetailstudios@gmail.com. All make ups must be completed by May 1st. There are only 4 make ups allowed per session. Dancers must make up in a class of a similar level or age group. Make ups do not roll over to the next session.

YOUTH CONTEMPORARY 1 Wednesdays at 5:30pm

Class description: (Ages 7-10) Modern originated in revolt of ballet and has transformed the dance world. Sometimes called contemporary, modern has an expressive and free feel while also being based in technique. Dancers explore rhythm, floor work and traveling through the space. This class is great for the rebel, the wild at heart, the explorer.

DRESS CODE: black leotard or shirt, black tights or leggings and bare feet. Hair pulled away from face

TARDY POLICY: If you are more than 5 minutes late to class, without giving the instructor advance notice you will be tardy, you will not be allowed into class that day.

Tiny Dancer Saturdays 8:30-9am

Registration required, repeatable. One class per week.

Monthly pass available for this class. Please see monthly details in purchase options. Pass automatically renews every month unless 30 days notice given.

Tiny Tots is a creative movement class that encourages self-discipline and self-confidence while incorporating coordination, large motor skills and rhythm. Children will learn movement skills through music, stories and imaginative games. Props such as bean-bags, hula-hoops, and parachutes will be used to explore different movement qualities, shapes, levels and dynamics.

DRESS CODE: Children should wear comfortable clothing and be sock free unless they are wearing ballet shoes. Hair needs to be pulled back. They may wear leotard and tights as well.

Dancers in this class are required to be potty trained and be able to participate in the class without their parent in the room.

Pre Musical Theater Dance 4:15-5:15p

Session Dates: Jan 13 - May 29 (15 weeks)

Pre Musical Theater Dance introduces jazz concepts in a fun way! Students will begin to learn the foundations of the Musical Theater Dance technique including proper posture, upper and lower body positions, and locomotor steps, while continuing to use props and playing fun games.Every five weeks they'll focus on a different musical!

DRESS CODE: (Girls) black leotard and black tights and black jazz shoes required. (Boys) black leggings, white t-shirt and ballet shoes. Hair must be pulled back.
