Youth Jazz 1/2 is a class where students expand on the basics of Jazz technique. Students will practice coordination of arms and legs, isolations, and other fundamentals of jazz technique.
DRESS CODE: (Boys) white shirt, black pants and bare feet (Girls) Black leotard, black tights, shorts allowed over tights, and bare feet
TARDY POLICY: If you are more than 5 minutes late to class, without giving the instructor advance notice you will be tardy, you will not be allowed into class that day.
Youth Ballet: Mondays 5-6:00pm NORTHFIELD LOCATION

(Ages 7-10) Youth Ballet is for the child who has a
capacity to learn quickly, is passionate about ballet, and looking
to expand their dance studies..
This class will focus on learning feet and leg positions, placement
and alignment of the body and arm (port de bras), jumps and
pirouettes.
DRESS CODE: Light blue leotard, pink tights and ballet shoes are required. Boys must wear a white shirt, black tights, leggings or black shorts, and ballet shoes. Hair should be pulled into a tight bun.
TARDY POLICY: If you are more than 5 minutes late to class, without giving the instructor advance notice you will be tardy, you will not be allowed into class that day.
Pre Musical Theater Dance - SUNDAYS 10:30 -
11:15am NORTHFIELD LOCATION

Pre Musical Theater Dance introduces jazz concepts in a fun way! Students will begin to learn the foundations of the Musical Theater Dance technique including proper posture, upper and lower body positions, and locomotor steps, while continuing to use props and playing fun games.Every five weeks they'll focus on a different musical!
DRESS CODE: (Girls) black leotard and black tights and black jazz shoes required. (Boys) black leggings, white t-shirt and ballet shoes. Hair must be pulled back.

(Ages 7 -10) Youth Musical Theatre Dance is a sharp and fast-paced technique that incorporates jazz technique with the big stages of broadway in mind. This class teaches rhythm and timing, as well as builds strength and coordination with music from the biggest shows!
DRESS CODE: DRESS CODE: Black Leotard and black tights. Shorts may be worn over tights. Jazz shoes are required. Hair must be back in a bun

To schedule a makeup class, please email dovetailstudios@gmail.com. All make ups must be completed by Thanksgiving Break. There are only 4 make ups allowed per session. Dancers must make up in a class of a similar level or age group. Make ups do not roll over to the next session.

a class that introduces young dancers to two exciting dance styles: jazz and hip hop. This class provides a balanced approach to learning both techniques and includes a mix of traditional and contemporary moves.
Class Highlights:
- Jazz Technique: Students will build on ballet fundamentals with a focus on jazz-specific skills such as isolations, flexibility, and floor combinations. The class will include warm-ups, muscle strengthening, and across-the-floor drills.
- Hip Hop Technique: Explore the energetic style of hip hop, learning basic moves and rhythms that emphasize coordination and rhythm.
- Combination Routines: Engage in choreography that blends jazz and hip hop elements, applying skills in creative routines.
Dress Code:
- Specific leggings and tank tops purchased at Dovetail Studios. Hair must be secured away from face. Jazz shoes and Hip-hop shoes or clean sneakers.
