Based on the four key components of athletic conditioning: Activation, Conditioning, Endurance and Recovery, this workshop reviews traditional approaches to performance-based training, introduces and highlights newer methodology and concepts and explores how they can be combined with the STOTT PILATES® Movement System. Created by the Merrithew® Programming team, this workshop demonstrates innovative ways of structuring and designing a Reformer-based program for the everyday athlete and beyond.
Dynamic exercises can help develop more physical control. Flowing sequences require more endurance from the working muscles and fluid conditioning helps develop deeper connections throughout the body. In this workshop created by the programming team at Merrithew®, learn flowing exercise sequences using a softer and shorter Foam Roller that will aid in hydrating and mobilizing fascia while increasing joint range of motion and mental focus. Transitions between movements require strength and stability as well as coordination and concentration, fostering a sense of heightened awareness and self-perception.

This is another Mat workout in the series of flowing sequences developed by the Merrithew® team that promotes breath to enhance the quality of movement, energizing the body and calming the mind. Small handheld weights are incorporated into this challenging flowing series creating a greater awareness of the periphery, while the essential breath patterns maintain mindfulness of the quality of movement.

The programming draws from functional movements, as well as the STOTT PILATES repertoire, and is designed to complement workout programs at an Essential-Intermediate level.
