This workshop will explore the fundamentals of 1-arm spinning,
flares, and how to work towards your switches. Whether looking to
do your first flare to reverse meathook, learn new creative
pathways on 1 arm, or simply gain experience on aerial straps, this
workshop is for you! We will drill and strengthen the foundational
1-arm positions, play with various spinning techniques, and discuss
strength and warm-up exercises (with a strong emphasis on rotator
cuff health) to take your aerial skills to the next level.
Pre-requisites:
Straight arm and straight leg straddle invert (2-arms)
Strong familiarity with skin-the-cat position
5 dead hang pull-ups

This workshop will cover roll-up techniques of all kinds – there are more variations of roll-ups than the traditional bicep rolls! If you’re curious about how else you can roll around on aerial straps, the first half of this workshop will cover quite a few. The second half will explore 2-arm swinging technique, how to build momentum, and drills for dislocates.
Pre-requisites:
Ability to invert with straight arms and straight legs in tuck,
pike, and straddle preferred.
5 dead hang pull-ups
5 push-ups, on toes with elbows in towards sides
Familiarity with skin-the-cat position

This workshop will expand upon the foundations set in level 1 and is for those who have a strong familiarity with 1-arm spinning and the reverse meathook (aka backflag) position. In this workshop, we will cover all of the pathways for flare to flag, low switch, and high switch. For the more advanced, we will also explore drills for flare to 360 (aka full twist).
