Join Us for “Getting Ready for Baby: A Pregnancy to Parenthood Training”
This virtual six-week training program is designed for expectant mothers and birthing persons in the prenatal period or within 8 weeks postpartum. We’ll cover a variety of essential topics to help you prepare for life with a new baby, including:
- Breastfeeding and formula feeding
- Pelvic floor health
- What to expect during the first six weeks with your baby
- Common challenges couples face when adjusting to life with a newborn
- Maternal mental health
The program incorporates elements of The ROSE Program (Reach Out, Stay Strong, Essentials for Mothers of Newborns), which is endorsed by the United States Preventive Services Task Force. The ROSE Program provides education on:
- Preventing and managing postpartum depression
- Navigating the transition to motherhood
- Strengthening relationships and communication
- Practicing self-care and assertiveness
- Setting goals and accessing local postpartum resources

Join Ayanna for a space for those who identify as Black Indigenous People of Color. The session will include collective healing, fostering belonging and releasing racial trauma in the body.
This will be a combination of sharing, listening, moving, breathing and restoring. Wear comfortable clothes and a journal.

Practice the moving meditation of
qi-gong (energy-work) with YMAA certified Qigong Master David
Silver, who began training with the renowned Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming
in 2001.
Beginner-friendly, no experience needed. Similar to rei-ki
(spiritual-energy), this follow-along class is simple movements and
deep breathing exercise that can be done by anyone. You will
experience the feeling of your qi (bioelectricity), and will have
time to discuss qigong theory in a Q &A at the end of
class.
David has been teaching weekly classes on Cape since 2006, and is
the author of two Tai Chi books. He works as a video director of
instructional health videos for www.YMAA.com, and has produced
programs with qigong masters abound the world for decades,
including Lee Holden, David-Dorian Ross, Helen Liang, Daisy Lee,
