Everything You Need to Know to Get Started
If you’re new to Pilates Fit Studio, Classical Pilates, or haven't been to the studio in a while, The Beginners Guide small group is for you!
When: Choose one (or both)
Monday: 5:30 pm
Wednesday 8:00 am
Our semi-private small groups are a whole different kettle of fish and only have 3-4 participants. Don’t let that put you off! The apparatus and the springs will help you hit your fitness goals and develop and retain new movement habits.
What to expect:
This group is dedicated to strengthening deep connections to your POWERHOUSE (core) & in every single exercise. We'll train to move our bodies from a place of strength, stability, stamina, & control. From figuring out the key basic moves, overcoming nerves about changing the equipment springs, and performing the exercises correctly, we’ve got you covered!
The group format:
In the first half of the lesson, you will work on the reformer, and the second half will be on the tower units and upholstered raised mats. You will tone up your body with the arm springs, leg springs, roll-down bar, and push-through bar. You will also use the barrels, auxiliary equipment, and the mat.
Disclaimer: To keep the group Pilates lessons at our studio safe and maintain semi-flow, all group participants must be injury-free, have a good understanding of equipment safety, can see, and hear the teacher, and do not require hands-on assistance for stability in getting up and down from the floor or onto and off the apparatus. If you require accommodations for injuries, vision, hearing, speech, or mobility barriers (such as unstable balance or difficulty moving up and down from the floor unassisted), please contact the studio to discuss your needs before registering for a small group semi-private. We are happy to offer personalized instruction in a 1:1 session in our private lesson studio, but we cannot significantly alter the workout to adjust for mobility limitations in group sessions due to the nature of our studio setup. Thank you for your understanding.
