Contemporary Ballet Dallas Video Submission Guidelines Summer intensive.

Video auditions for the 2024 Summer Intensives will be accepted via an emailed link. Please upload your video to Youtube with a private link and email the link to danceinfo@schoolofcbd.com, Subject: Summer Intensive Video Submission

DEADLINE is June 5, 2024. Video submission fee is $35.00. Pay submission fee, then submit video as instructed below.

The email should include:  

1- Dancers name, age, and current studio. 

2- An example of the dancers weekly schedule

3-Please upload the video to Youtube with a private link. Then email your link to Lindsay@schoolofcbd.com .  Upon acceptance to the program, then you will submit a registration form to the School.

Video Guidelines

Begin your video by stating your name, age, and date of birth.

Barre Work *Please execute both sides of each combination*

Plié combination- a combination with demis and grandes in 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th with port de bras/cambré

Tendu - From 5th position. 4 tendus in each direction, en croix  (with port de bras if known)

Grand Battement - From 5th position. 2 grand battements in each direction, en croix  (with port de bras if known)

Center *Please execute both sides of each combination*

Adagio - a 16 count combination including développé devant, développé à la seconde, and arabesque

Pirouettes - from 5th and/or 4th

Petit Allegro 

Beginner-  8 counts which include glissade, changement, and assemblé. 

Intermediate/advanced- 16 counts (include entrechat/battu if applicable) 

For dancers en pointe only *Can be executed at the barre for beginning pointe dancers*
