This 6-week in-person class builds on the foundation learned in Puppy Kindergarten, taking your pup's training and socialization to the next level! Designed for puppies up to 6 months that have completed Puppy K.  1st Grade focuses on:

• Refined Obedience: Mastering core cues like sit, down, stay, come, and leave-it with increased distractions.
• Polished Manners: Perfecting loose leash walking, polite greetings, and impulse control.
• Confidence Building: Introducing new challenges and experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
• Fun & Games: Engaging in fun activities and games to reinforce learning and build a strong bond.

Health Requirements:

• Puppies must be up-to-date on vaccinations and follow their veterinarian's recommended vaccination schedule.
• Please provide proof of a recent negative fecal test.

What to Bring:

• Leash and Collar/Harness: Use the harness or collar your puppy wears for walks.
• 6-foot Clip Leash: Retractable leashes are not allowed.
• Training Treats: Treats should be about the size of your pinkie fingernail and squishy for easy chewing. Bring more treats than you think you'll need!
• Skip Dinner: (If needed) Your puppy will get their meal from your treat bag during class.
• Appropriate Attire: Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes. For farm classes, dress for the weather.

Class Etiquette:

• Maintain a 6-foot distance from other dogs unless instructed otherwise by your trainer.
• Be prepared to listen to your instructor's guidance to ensure a safe and fun learning environment for everyone.
