RMSL level 1 & 2 is for children ages 6 and above.  It is for children just starting to swim.

RMSL 1 skills to be mastered are: Front float unassisted, Back float unassisted, Roll-over float, Front glide unassisted, Back glide unassisted, Side glide introduction, Roll-over glide assisted, Flutter kick, Distance swim 5m, Water safety education

RMSL 2 skills to be mastered are:  Entry and recovery, Front float unassisted, Back float unassisted, Roll-over float, Front glide unassisted, Back glide unassisted, Side glide, Roll-over glide, Front glide side glide, Distance swim 10m, Water safety education
