At this free community event, your child will get a hands-on experience on goal-setting and overcoming difficulties. 

In conjunction with World Astronomy Day, the theme of this event is “Reach for the Stars!”

The day will start with your child creating a craft using cyanotypes--the older photography process using the sun's uv rays. At the same time, you, the parents, will be given a Karate wooden board on which to write one obstacle that keeps your child back from purusing their goal.

Following that, we will hear from an space enthusiast and lifelong student, about some mind-blowing ideas from what we have learned aout space in recent years.

The highlight of the event is when you hold the board for your child as they break using a technique we will teach them. The boards are “confidence boards”, i.e., easily breakable to give themk the exhiliration of success.

The day will conclude with a party.
