This hybrid class series draws from classical and contemporary Pilates to support balance, mobility, and alignment in a safe, welcoming environment. Designed with active agers in mind, the class emphasizes mindful movement and core support and is appropriate for individuals with low bone density. Each series offers a fresh focus while reinforcing foundational skills to help you feel strong, steady, and centered.
No previous Pilates experience is required. Whether you join us in person or online, you'll use a mat, a tennis ball (used every class), a 9“ or 10” soft ball (such as a Gertie ball or Overball), extra padding for kneeling, and a small pillow or towel for head support as needed.
For this series, we are also using:
-
A full-length foam roller
-
Light hand weights (2–8 lbs)
-
An 11” medium-to-heavy resistance theraband
Mats and props are provided for in-person participants. Online participants will need access to the listed equipment at home.
