Join Dawn for a transformative afternon of playful yoga flow and mindfulness, inspired by The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World by the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
Through this special session, you'll explore the 8 Pillars of Joy, which offer powerful insights for cultivating lasting happiness. Together, we'll learn about the Obstacles to Joy—such as fear, stress, anger, grief, illness, and death—and contemplate practices that can help you overcome them and build a foundation for sustained joy in your life.
What to Expect:
- Yoga Flow: A gentle, playful practice designed to open your body and heart.
- The 8 Pillars of Joy: Key takeaways from the book that focus on fostering peace and happiness in the face of life's challenges.
- Yoga Nidra: End the afternoon with a deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra practice—a meditative journey that guides you into a state of deep relaxation, where you'll create your own Sankalpa (intention) for joy and fulfillment.
No need to have read the book before the session, though if you’d like to prepare, Dawn recommends listening to the Audible version to experience the joy and wisdom in the conversation between these two spiritual leaders. One lucky student will win a physical copy to take home for further exploration!
