Join Jessica on Friday February 28th from 6-7:30 for an evening of meditation and relaxation. Come wearing your comfy clothes and get ready to get your relax on! You will be beginning with some guided breathwork and a few gentle stretches before settling in for a one hour Yoga Nidra. Let the stress of the week wash away as you drift into a state of effortless relaxation.
You might be wondering what Yoga Nidra is? It means Yoga Sleep; it is a guided meditation that allows you to walk through your body working towards allowing yourself to release, relax and let go of the tension that you are holding on to. During this part of the class you will be lying down in a supported position while being guided through a Nidra Meditation. The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis) – the breath balances and becomes quiet, unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness. Some people might even drift to sleep because they become so relaxed.
This is an all levels class that is perfect for anyone that can get up and down off of the floor. The cost is $35 per person.
