Simply Social Dance Course Overview

The Simply Social Dance Course is designed to provide students with the essential skills and confidence needed to engage in a variety of social dance events. This program emphasizes versatility by teaching two fast-paced dances and one slow dance, allowing participants to adapt seamlessly to different musical genres.

Course Structure

The course is divided into a comprehensive curriculum of 25 lessons, organized into five five-week modules. Each module is carefully crafted to build upon the previous one, ensuring a progressive learning experience.

Simply Social Session One

Session One encompasses the foundational five lessons of the curriculum. During these initial sessions, participants are introduced to basic dance techniques that form the groundwork for more complex movements.

We are thrilled to welcome you to your first Simply Social event! If you are registering as a couple, please enter both your names in the first name column and use the couples pass for registration. For the event, we recommend wearing comfortable attire suitable for dancing and bringing a pair of shoes to change into once you enter the ballroom. While ballroom dance shoes are ideal, they are not mandatory; just ensure your shoes won't stick to the floor. Upon arrival, please park in the lot north of the building and enter through the glass doors labeled Kalamazoo Ballroom Academy. We can't wait to meet you and share this exciting experience!
