Students will take a selection of a short story, chapter book and/or a theme of poems and adapt it into a 5 to 6 minute piece for performance. Students will also write an intro and an outro for their selections as well as transitions from pieces. Students will gain the ability of public speaking and how to speak in a performance space. Students will also learn how to find and relate a theme to the audience from the selections they choose. They will also gain writing experience and a chance to show their own voice and why they chose the piece in their intros and outros.

A parent/guardian must accompany the student under 18 to their first class/lesson touch base with the teacher and receive importating class dates and information. There is a 4 student minimum for this class.  If the minimum enrollment is not met, you will be notified by the instructor and will able to choose another class, or wiil be offerred a refund.
