Expert Teaching Skills

Saturday & Sunday, 11am - 5.30pm at the lake. 

You may take this module at a time of your choosing, there is no set order for taking any of the 300 modules

There are six weekends, which can be taken in any order & run once a year. Each weekend is 15 hours of CPD, there are 12 hours of self-study required whilst you take the 6 weekends. This module is mandatory for 300 Hour Teachers, it can be taken standalone & will include 2 hours of self-study.

Expert Teaching Skills

Your teaching is ever evolving. Module A looked specifically at Asana & the way in which we classify them in order to teach them skilfully. In this module we will be looking a yoga poses again & the way in which we language our directions so that our students can find their way by your words alone.

A physical weekend

We will use individual yoga poses, well-known series of poses & Sun Salutations to first question how we communicate when teaching & then to amplify the transmission of useful information from teacher to student. How is it some teachers can get a whole room of people following their instruction without ‘having to do it with the class’? Firstly, your sequencing must be organised & ready, on the tip of your tongue, secondly you must have your own regular, felt experience of asana.

Using sequences you design impromptu or in readiness, this weekend is the start of your communicating your teaching at an elevated level with increased confidence & aplomb.

This module runs twice a year is mandatory for 300 Hour Teachers.
