The Spiritual Paths: Yoga, Tantra, Lineages & Gurus

Saturday & Sunday, 11am - 5.30pm at the lake. 

You may take this module at a time of your choosing, there is no set order for taking any of the 300 modules

There are six weekends, which can be taken in any order & run once a year. Each weekend is 15 hours of CPD, there are 12 hours of self-study required whilst you take the 6 weekends. This module is mandatory for 300 Hour Teachers, it can be taken standalone & will include 2 hours of self-study.

How does it all fit in?

I get asked this on every 200 hours, yet to explain such a vast & all-encompassing historical pastiche is a feat requiring time & attention.

We will be looking at spiritual science & philosophy – how it has been explained for thousands of years & how it now fits in a world where connection has changed beyond explicable belief.

What does describing oneself as spiritual mean in this era? As a yoga teacher I come across many people who say they are spiritual, yet when quizzed it seems only to mean not religious or having an interest in the external accoutrements of exotic practices & peoples, but nobody ever really persuades me that many of us really know what it means.

We’ll look at the lineages, methods & styles of yoga & get clear on what they are, where they came from & their use: – Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar, Kripalu, Jivamukti, Bikram, Kundalini, Viniyoga, Somatic Yoga, Anusara, Sivananda, Forrest & more. The Yogas that are aligned with Tantric yoga will be looked at specifically & the behaviour of self-proclaimed gurus will be considered.

These days will include light physical movement.

This module runs twice a year is mandatory for 300 Hour Teachers.
