Honoring the Winter Solstice

 

Angel Loflin, RYT500 with Evergreen Holistic is hosting her annual Winter Solstice Release & Restore Workshop on Saturday, December 21st at 6pm.

 

The approaching Winter Solstice is a perfect time to reflect on the tremendous shifts we each experienced this past year. Marking the shortest day and longest night of the year, the solstice honors the re-emergence of the sun and light, releasing what has fallen away to illuminate and nourish new intentions.

 

In this workshop we will honor these same cycles of nature within ourselves through rest, reflection and intention setting with a restorative yoga practice, meditation and journaling prompts.

 

This practice will be hosted in person. Below you will find a list of items we will be using in our practice but feel free to get inventive with what might make you feel most comfortable!

 

Items you will need for practice (we have props in studio but if you have your own, please feel free to bring them):
- your journal and a pen (if you don't have a journal one will be provided to you)
- two+ bolsters or standard pillows
- two yoga blankets, throw blankets or large towels
- a yoga strap, tie or bathrobe belt
- two yoga blocks
