Description
Join Jessica in the meditative and transformative practice of yin yoga where floor-based postures are held for a longer period of times to allow release in the deeper layers of the body such as the fascia, connective tissues, joints and bones. Yin yoga benefits those with lower back pain that often results from having tight hips from prolonged sitting or athletics that emphasize the lower body including running, cycling, skiing, and weight lifting.
In this workshop you will:
• Improve your flexibility and gain larger range of motion in the hips, pelvis and lower spine
• Promote healing by activating the parasympathetic nervous system
• Alleviate stress and anxiety by practicing stillness
Treat yourself to an evening of yin and leave feeling energized, balanced and lighter in both body and spirit.
Taught in a gently heated room, no prior yoga experience necessary.
