Gong Baths:

The practice of gong baths traces its origins back to ancient civilizations and serves as a form of meditation, immersing oneself in the healing vibrations of sound. During a gong bath session, participants recline comfortably with the support of bolsters and blankets, creating a cozy cocoon-like environment. As the captivating tones resonate, the sound waves envelop the body, providing a sonic “bath.” The frequencies emitted by the gong work to calm the mind, inducing a meditative state, while the vibrations invigorate the body and aid in the release of tension.

During the gong bath, Charlie utilizes three gongs: Pluto, Venus, and a Grotto gong. Each gong possesses unique characteristics and symbolism: 

Pluto represents transformation, symbolizing the process of death and rebirth. With its deep resonance, Pluto has the ability to access not only the present lifetime but also past lives. It works on our shadow self, aiding in the dissolution of the ego and the release of outdated patterns that no longer serve us on our healing and spiritual journey. 

Venus embodies joy, love, harmony, beauty, and compassion. Its exquisite and distinctive higher frequency has a calming effect on worries, promoting balance and renewal. Venus encourages an open heart, guiding us to trust our intuition and embrace the flow of life. 

The Grotto Gong harmonizes perfectly with Pluto and Venus. Its frequency aligns with the Solar Plexus, which governs confidence, assertiveness, and decision-making from a place of inner wisdom. It holds the key to unlocking our personal power and nurturing a strong sense of self.

Studio information: please leave plenty of time to get to the studio (or log on if you are attending virtually) to ensure a safe & harmonious experience for all, latecomers will not be permitted as the teacher will already be in the class.

What to bring: Yoga Mat, Water Bottle, Blanket, and if you have one an Eye Pillow, and Cushion!
