Anxiety is a feeling of overwhelm in the nervous system that
can create physical and emotional symptoms. These can include fear,
nervousness, worry, and unease when we perceive or imagine a threat
to ourselves or our world. Physically, increased anxiety can
disrupt our sleep, digestion, and ability to take care of
ourselves optimally. Yoga has long been a practice that helps
integrate the nervous system when practiced in a particular way.
Yoga's sister science, Ayurveda, offers wonderful tools for diet,
lifestyle, and emotional support in times of increased anxiety.
Join licensed mental health counselor, Ayurvedic practitioner and
Yoga teacher Melissa Spamer to help support you in managing the
very natural human experience of anxiety.
This 4 week series will include brief talks on simple
Ayurvedic recommendations, some handouts and questionnaires, and
Yoga practices that include breathing and eye exercises as well as
the physical postures for grounding, stability and ease.
All sessions will be recorded; everyone who enrolls will
receive the recordings with unlimited access for 3
months.

In-person class cancellations accepted up to 3 hours prior to the start of first class. No shows will be charged.
Studio will open 15 minutes prior to the start of each in-person class.
