Upgrade your Pilates education by taking a closer look at the building blocks of the human body in motion! In Pilates Anatomy Essentials, we will comprehensively identify the major bones and muscles hard at work in the Pilates Method, and learn how the various connective tissues support our diverse movements. We will study the anatomical structures of the Pilates “Powerhouse,” as well as the distinct joint actions that allow movement at our spine, shoulder girdle, and hips. With a deeper understanding of underlying structure, we can break down the Pilates exercises more effectively, see our client’s movements more clearly, and ultimately learn to cue with more accuracy & increased confidence.
