Health is so much more than diet and exercise. Of course, the food we eat and physical activity play a huge role in how we feel, but so, too, do so many other lifestyle choices that impact not only our physical health but also our mental, emotional and spiritual health. Each part of this health puzzle impacts the other in huge ways. Our lifestyle choices like career, relationships, social life as well as food and physical activity all serve to nourish or deplete our wellbeing.
This course will help you identify small actions you can take in each aspect of your health to create a balanced, happy and healthy lifestyle. Everyone’s health needs are different and unique to their own circumstances. On top of that, our health needs change over time. What may have worked for you a few years ago might now be working now. Nothing is universal. There is no one size fits all. One persons food poison may be the answer your body needs.
Over the course of 19 weeks, we’ll explore all the different aspects of health ranging from food choices to meditation, forest bathing to probiotics, social connections and happiness to sleep and supplements. We’ll simplify health and let go of restrictive behaviors like intense dieting or punishing workouts. By implementing small changes over time you can transform your health and quite simply feel better and be happier.
What to expect:
The course will meet every other week for 75 minutes when we’ll discuss small changes to implement over the next two weeks as well as identify obstacles and challenges while also creating a community to hold you accountable.
You’ll have access to Kristin, a certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, for any questions or issues that come up between sessions.
You’ll receive recipes to experiment with and simply learn to tweak your own eating habits so your overall diet is less inflammatory.
You’ll build a support community with others in the group to encourage you to make healthy changes and create new social connections.
You’ll learn simple stress relieving techniques so that you can minimize the inflammation that stress causes in your body and understand how simple movement instead of grueling workouts can keep you healthy and happy.
Space is limited to just 10 people. Class meets almost every other week:
Jan. 11, Jan. 25, Feb. 8, Feb. 22, March 8, March 22, April 12, April 19, May 10 & May 24.
