Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a specialized medical type massage that gently assists the lymphatic system in maintaining the body’s fluid balance, blood circulation, and immune mechanisms. During a lymph drainage massage, a specially-trained massage therapist manually performs a series of gliding, compressing, stretching, and cupping motions over the client’s body (no machines or tools are used). The light rhythmic movements, applied without massage oil, stimulate the lymphatic system without compressing the vessels – allowing lymph to move easily through the tissues and lymph nodes and a specific sequence is followed so lymph isn’t trapped anywhere.  Please check with your physician before starting the therapy.  Please note for post op clients (cosmetic surgeries), sessions cannot be booked with drains or incisions that are not healed.
