Joy is a joyful musician who permeates her energy every inch of the room, classically trained in RCM and ABRSM, Joy feels gifted to have piano in her life, it is her most loyal friend that was there for her through her thick and thin. Her personal experiences which all her students can take away from, as well as gave her a deeper insight of piano-teaching, with her innovative approach to teaching incorporated from acting classes she attended at Vancouver Film School, she is able to create and warm and fun atmosphere, helping students grow a life-long appreciation for piano. Her goal is to establish a friendship between the piano and students, while securing solid techniques on the way. With her accomplishments, she was an accompanist in the German Canadian Harmonie Club in Kelowna, as well as a music staff cadet in HMCS Quadra in the summer of 2022, you can also find her in the movie ‘Bones of Crows’ where she was a piano hand-doubled actress, which she got to experience a day of life of an actress, which was her childhood dream. Piano influenced Joy in every aspect of her life, and she hopes to pass that onto her students too. With Piano as her main strength, she also teaches beginner clarinet. Joy, just like her name, it is who she is, it is what she brings.
