marti and the staff are so awesome and so talented 
this is our second year and we have had the best experience




Coast Music is a family business founded in 2004 by Beth and
Matt Rohde. Beth’s sister Angie Deters is the General Manager and
Beth’s sister Marti Harris is the Band Director at Coast, truly
making it a family endeavor!
Coast Music offers private music lessons, music classes, online
music courses and summer music programs.
At Coast Music, we are dedicated to
enriching lives through music education. We believe that a
combination of hands-on instruction and ample performance
opportunities help our students reach their highest potential. Our
teachers are experts in their fields who are passionate about
teaching and committed to student progress. Coast Music provides
the resources and support to ensure the success of every
individual.

 





Matt is a Los Angeles-based keyboardist,
Musical Director, arranger and composer. He has toured and recorded
with a long list of famous artists including Jane’s Addiction,
Christina Aguilera, Alanis Morrissette and Prince. Matt was also an
Associate Music Director on Fox’s American Idol for more than ten
years and is currently an arranger for The Voice on NBC.
Beth is a performer, educator and Music
Director. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance and
Music Production from Berklee College of Music, and a Master’s
Degree in Jazz Studies from USC. Beth has a gift for developing
talent and helping her clients reach their goals. She has coached
and performed on shows such as American Idol, Fix My Choir and the
Christmas Caroler Challenge. She is also the current music director
for College Audition Los Angeles (CALA).
Marti has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the
University of Michigan where she studied Musical Theatre and holds
a Graduate Certificate from the Jazz Studies Department at USC.
Leading Coast bands is one of Marti’s true passions where she
inspires students of all ages to produce exceptional
performances!
