Troubleshooting: Asset available for booking during scheduled class times

Problem

A BOOK-A-SPOT™ asset has been reserved for a class, as seen below.

This asset is available during times that it should be reserved

When a client or staff member attempts to book an asset, this asset is available during times that it should be reserved.

Solution

This problem occurs when you choose make an asset required and reserved for a service after the service has already been scheduled. Because automatic redistribution of these assets could result in unexpected cancellations or other schedule conflicts, you must manually make adjustments when you wish to make an asset required and reserved for a service that has already been scheduled.

To make the asset required and reserved for the proper service:

  1. Click the App Drawer button .
  2. In the App Drawer, click Schedule.
  3. Choose list view. For more information, see Customizing the schedule individually per staff member.
  4. Find the service that should have an asset required and reserved. To filter the schedule, see Schedule filters.
  5. Click the gear icon to the right of the service.
  6. For a class or event, click Edit Schedule Details in the gear icon menu.
    1. Click the Next button. Step three, What is being changed?, is selected.
    2. Scroll to the heading labelled Assets.
    3. Click the pencil icon to the right of the assets to edit.
    4. Click the checkbox next to the desired asset(s) to reserve them.
    5. Click the Next button.
    6. Click Complete. The asset(s) will now be required and reserved for the class or event.
  7. For an appointment, click Reschedule in the gear icon menu.
    1. Click the Next button twice. Step five, Select Assets is selected.
    2. Click the checkbox next to the desired asset(s) to reserve them.
    3. Click Book Unpaid to finish. The asset(s) will now be required and reserved for the appointment.
