Setting processing time for an Appointment Type

Processing time can be set to determine how much time is required for individual parts of an Appointment Type. Unlike padding time, processing time affects the duration of an Appointment.

Processing time can be required for Appointments with multiple parts, such as hairdressing Appointments. For example, a cut and style Appointment may require 15 minutes to wash hair at the start of an Appointment, 30 minutes for the cut, and 15 minutes to style. These parts of the Appointment can be outlined under processing time and shown to clients as an hour long Appointment. Processing time can be allocated in five-minute increments.

NoteCanceling an Appointment will also cancel any allotted processing time.
NoteAny assets that are associated with an Appointment will be affected by that Appointment’s processing time. The asset will not be available during the specified processing time. Staff members who are assigned to Appointments with processing time will also be affected and will not be available for other assignments during the specified processing time.
