Restricting a product or service to specific client types

Staff members can restrict a product, Appointment, Class, or Event to specific client types. This will allow only clients of the selected type to purchase the restricted product or service from the store. Additionally, you can choose whether staff members can book only specific client types for an Appointment, Class, or Event. Walk-in clients will not be affected by client type restrictions placed on products.

To restrict a product to specific client types:

  1. Click the App Drawer button .
  2. In the App Drawer, click the Setup button.
  3. On the Setup menu, click Store Configuration.
  4. On the Store Configuration menu, click Products.
  5. On the Products page, add or modify a product:
    • To create a new product, click ADD PRODUCT.
    • To modify an existing product, click the product you want to modify in the list. You may have to browse the list, use the Search option, or filter the list to find the product.
  6. In Advanced Settings, under Purchase Restrictions, click Available to select Client Types only.
    1. Click the list and select the client types to which you want to restrict this product. If no client types are selected, this option will default to Deny all client types. Only walk-in clients will be able to purchase the product.
  7. Click SAVE.

To restrict an Appointment, Class, or Event to specific client types:

  1. Click the App Drawer button .
  2. In the App Drawer, click Setup.
  3. On the Setup menu, click Appointments, Classes, or Events.
  4. On the Classes or Events page, create or modify a Class or Event:
    • To create a new Appointment, Class, or Event, click ADD [SERVICE].
    • To modify an existing Appointment, Class, or Event, click the Appointment, Class, or Event you want to modify in the list. You may have to browse the list, use the Search option, or filter the list to find the service.
  5. Restrict the client types that can book the service:
    1. In Advanced Settings, under Client Online Booking, click Only selected client types can book online.
    2. Click the list and select the client types to which you want to restrict this service. If no client types are selected, this option will default to Deny all client types. Only walk-in clients will be able to purchase the service.
  6. Restrict the client types that staff can book into the service:
    1. Under Staff Booking, click Staff can only book selected Client Types.
    2. Click the list and select the client types to which you want to restrict this service. If no client types are selected, this option will default to Deny all client types. Only walk-in clients will be able to purchase the service.
  7. Click SAVE.
