Redeeming a Groupon deal

Groupon integration allows you to offer Groupon deals to your clients through WellnessLiving. Staff members can redeem Groupon deals on behalf of a client during checkout, or from the client’s profile. Clients can also redeem Groupon deals themselves. NoteA Groupon deal’s redemption location will be assigned to the client’s home location, regardless of where the client redeems the Groupon. Sales of this Groupon will also be assigned to this location.

In this article:

To redeem a Groupon deal during checkout:

  1. Complete steps 1 to 6 in Making a sale.
  2. At checkout, select the Gift Cards payment method.
  3. In the Enter Gift Card or Voucher Code: box, enter the Groupon code.
  4. Click Complete.

To redeem a Groupon deal from a client profile:

  1. On the Top Nav Bar, click the Search button , and enter the client’s information in the box. You can enter the client’s name, phone number, email address, UID, or client ID.
  2. In the list of clients displayed, click the client’s name.
  3. On the side menu, click Account.
  4. On the Account menu, click Billing & Account Balance.
  5. Under Daily Deal or Gift Card Redemption Code, enter the Groupon code.
  6. Click Submit. The Groupon code and any associated deal will be entered and applied to the client’s account.

To redeem a Groupon deal for a new client from the schedule:

  1. Click the App Drawer button .
  2. In the App Drawer, click Schedule.
  3. Click the service for which you want to redeem a Groupon deal:
    • To redeem a Groupon deal for an Appointment:
      1. Click +Add and select Book an Appointment in the list. The booking wizard is displayed. Alternatively, if the schedule is in Calendar view, you can click any available time slot on the schedule to book the Appointment.
      2. Under Select Clients, click Add new client.
      3. Enter the new client’s information in the fields and, under REDEMPTION CODE, enter the Groupon code.
      4. Click Add Client.
      5. Click Select Location & Service. Under LOCATION, select the location where the Appointment will take place. Under SERVICE, select the service that will be provided.
      6. If you have set up add-ons for the service, click the add-ons you want to include. Since add-ons are products, they must be paid for up front. Any additional fees can be paid at checkout or charged to the client’s account.
      7. Click Select Date & Time. Specify the date and time for the Appointment. You can also configure this as a recurring Appointment.
      8. Click Select Staff. Specify the staff member who will provide the service.
      9. Click Select Assets. Specify any assets required for the selected service (e.g., stationary bike).
        • This option will not be visible if the Appointment does not require assets.
      10. Click Book Unpaid. The Groupon code and any associated deal will be applied to the client’s account.
    • To redeem a Groupon deal for a Class or Event:
      1. Click the Class or Event on the schedule. You may have to adjust the schedule‘s filter or date range to find the Class or Event.
      2. Click Attendance list.
      3. Click + NEW CLIENT.
      4. Enter the new client‘s information in the fields and under REDEMPTION CODE, enter the Groupon code.
      5. Click CREATE UNPAID. The Groupon code and any associated deal will be entered and applied to the client‘s account.
