Deactivating or deleting a gift card

If you do not want your clients to be able to purchase a gift card, you can deactivate it or delete it. Deactivating a gift card will remove it from the store, however, previously sold gift cards that have been deactivated can still be redeemed. Deleting a gift card will remove it permanently from WellnessLiving.

After a gift card has been deactivated, it will not appear on the Gift Cards page by default. You will need to change the filter settings to view deactivated gift cards.

NoteYou cannot delete a gift card that has been purchased.

To deactivate or delete a gift card:

  1. Click the App Drawer button .
  2. In the App Drawer, click Setup.
  3. On the Setup menu, click Store Configuration.
  4. On the Store Configuration menu, click Gift Cards.
  5. In the list, click the gift card you want to deactivate or delete. You may have to browse the list, use the Search option, or filter the list to find the gift card
  6. On the Edit Gift card page, deactivate or delete the gift card:
    • To deactivate the gift card, set the ACTIVATE GIFT CARD option to OFF.
    • To delete the gift card, click DELETE GIFT CARD. In the confirmation popup, click OK.
  7. Click SAVE CHANGES.

To view deactivated gift cards:

  1. Click the App Drawer button .
  2. In the App Drawer, click Setup.
  3. On the Setup menu, click Store Configuration.
  4. On the Store Configuration menu, click Gift cards.
  5. Click the Filter button .
  6. Click Status and select Inactive.
  7. Click Apply Changes. The deactivated gift cards are displayed.
