Assigning a client ID

Staff members can assign a unique identification number to a client’s profile. You can choose to create a custom ID, generate a random ID, or link a client’s ID with their tag or card’s barcode. Clients with a client ID linked to a barcode tag or card can use the Self Check-in Web App to check in to your business using a barcode scanner. You cannot use the same client ID for multiple clients within your business.

NoteClient IDs are unique throughout all franchise locations within a business. For example, if you create a client ID called “Jane”, you cannot use that same client ID for a different client at another location within the franchise. This setup allows the client to be a member of multiple franchise locations, if required. Client IDs can carry over between franchise locations, but not any other type of business.

To create a custom client ID:

  1. On the Top Nav Bar, click the Search button , and enter the client’s information in the box. You can enter the client’s name, phone number, email address, UID, or client ID.
  2. In the list of clients displayed, click the client’s name.
  3. Hover your cursor over the Client ID field.
  4. Click the Edit button .
  5. Enter a unique ID for the client.
  6. Click the Confirm button .

To generate an ID number for a client:

  1. On the Top Nav Bar, click the Search button , and enter the client’s information in the box. You can enter the client’s name, phone number, email address, UID, or client ID.
  2. In the list of clients displayed, click the client’s name.
  3. Hover your cursor over the Client ID field.
  4. Click the Generate ID button .
    • If the client has an existing client ID, click OK in the confirmation popup.

To link a client’s ID with a tag or card’s barcode:

  1. On the Top Nav Bar, click the Search button , and enter the client’s information in the box. You can enter the client’s name, phone number, email address, UID, or client ID.
  2. In the list of clients displayed, click the client’s name.
  3. Hover your cursor over the Client ID field.
  4. Click the Edit button .
  5. Using your barcode scanner, scan the physical barcode on the client’s tag or card.
  6. Click the Confirm button . The client’s ID will now be linked with their tag or card.
